ENCOMPASS Maternity Management
ENCOMPASS Maternity Management incorporates risk assessment, patient education and individualized care coordination to address health risks which may hamper a normal delivery. Designed to help pregnant women and their families improve maternal and newborn health, the program also provides health plan savings through improved pregnancy and post-partum management.
Once a case is identified, our program includes:
- An initial assessment with a maternity nurse coordinator
- Prenatal care information mailed to member (English and Spanish available)
- Further assessments by a maternity nurse coordinator each trimester to review progress and early identification of risk factors
- Assessment and post-care information provided after delivery
Cases with high risk factors or special service needs are referred to Case Management program for further support.
Customizing Solutions
ENCOMPASS works with clients to review claims data and program goals to design a Maternity Management program based on this experience. Maternity Management is one of the full range of ENCOMPASS Health Management services offered. We work with each client's health plan requirements to build a customized profile from our comprehensive Care Coordination and Medical Management solutions.
As with all ENCOMPASS services, Maternity Management case information is completely integrated in our proprietary software system, QualiTrac, which supports documentation and reporting for all programs. QualiTrac is a member-centric system making information available to ENCOMPASS medical professionals to address health status and medical needs across all Care Coordination and Medical Management programs.

ENCOMPASS' Maternity Management program value is demonstrated through an annual report package documenting health care savings and return on investment with a program results comparison to national norms. Our monthly program enrollment report details demographic information, date of contact, risk factors and delivery information.
